The Brookhaven Hospital provides innovative neuromotor and physiotherapy rehabilitation services to individuals with motor impairments following traumatic brain injury or other neurologic conditions by restoring functional motor skills. Motor ability is maximized through an active integrative coaching process combining physical strengthening, retraining of functional motor skills, and intensive EMG biofeedback. The Neurologic Rehabilitation Program serves children, adolescents, and adults with mild to severe brain injury or related neurologic impairments. Overall, our goal is to assist the individual in expanding their skills and functions essential to developing positive self-esteem and to living a life filled with dignity and self respect. We form an alliance with the individuals to help them achieve their goals.
