Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Ranks 50 States for Risks

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released their 50-State ranking of risk contributing to death and injury. It’s quite an eye opener to see how your home state ranks as well as to look at the states with better (or worse) rankings. Clearly, the safety and injury prevention policies are different from state-to-state and account for the state ratings. As I looked at some of the strategies for prevention such as: motorcycle and bicycle helmets, required use vehicle passenger restraints, robust DUI programs and youth concussion  I could easily understand how the ratings were derived.
