Oxygen Treatment Gives Veteran Hope For Healing

One Persian Gulf War veteran is undergoing an experimental treatment for the nearly 20 year old issues he has from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and so far the results are astounding.

For an hour every day, for at least 40 days, Jeff Brennan, a former Marine sergeant, sits in a hyberbaric oxygen chamber breathing 100 percent pure oxygen. Nearly half way into the treatment, and Brennan is regaining vision he lost from his injuries, and he has been able to drastically cut back on his pain medicine.

As Dr. Enrico Versace, who is treating Jeff, describes it, “we’re getting the old Jeff back.”

KENS5 San Antonio has information to help raise funds so that other veterans may be able to try this new treatment themselves.
