Millions are being spent on research around the globe in hopes of developing the best new tool for managing traumatic brain injury and aiding injured individuals in their recovery, but what if that tool is already on the market.

A new study led by Dr. Jordan Hamson-Utley, the Program Director for the Master of Health Science in Athletic Training at the University of St. Augustine, suggests the Fitbit may be an effective tool for rehabilitating individuals with brain injury. The Fitbit is a popular smart-bracelet that is widely available.
