The Complex Care Neurologic Rehabilitation Program provides services for persons with brain injuries who require neurologic rehabilitation services, but are unable to tolerate a full therapeutic schedule.  These individuals participate in therapies which are similar to those provided in our other neurologic programs, but the level of participation is individualized according to the person's level of physical, cognitive, and behavioral tolerance.

Our programs are designed to assist individuals in achieving the highest level of rehabilitation possible.  In most cases the goal is reintegration into the community.

Brookhaven offers a wide range of services designed to achieve this goal, including: Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Neuropsychological Services, Medical Management, and Internal Case Management.

Admission criteria:

  • Persons age 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of Traumatic Brain Injury or acquired neurologic problem.

  • Preadmission Assessment by a Brookhaven Neurologic Rehabilitation Specialist.

  • Ability to participate in and benefit from rehabilitation therapies.
